Heidy O’Connor Garth
Heidy O’Connor Garth is the daughter of the late Bob O’Connor and President of the Bob O’Connor Foundation. She graduated from Slippery Rock University with a B.S. degree in management and marketing and worked for Pappan’s Enterprises for 16 years. Heidy has worked for C. Truxell Research as a marketing manager for the last 16 years. Heidy is currently the Director of Operations for Una Biologicals. She was involved in the Girl Scouts as a leader for 9 years, PTO President in the Woodland Hills School District for 9 years, and was involved in the OLWEUS Anti-Bullying Program.
Judy O’Connor is the wife of Mayor Bob O’Connor and has lived in Pittsburgh all of her life. She is currently employed at the Highmark Caring Foundation (Caring Place) and also serves on the SIDS board and the CAB board at WQED. Judy is involved in the community and delivers meals on wheals and volunteers at the Mario Lemieux Children’s Home. She has three children, Heidy, Father Terry and Corey and three granddaughters.
Fr. Terry O’Connor
Reverend Terrence P. O’Connor was born on May 25, 1969, in Pittsburgh, PA, and grew up in the Squirrel Hill section of the city. He is the son of Bob and Judy O’Connor. His home parish is St. Rosalia in Greenfield. Fr. Terry was baptized at the age of 19. He received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh in 1991 and a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1994. Prior to entering Saint Paul Seminary in Pittsburgh in 1995, he was an attorney, mainly in the areas of criminal and personal injury law. Fr. Terry received a B.A. in Philosophy from Duquesne University in 1997 and a M.Div. from Saint Vincent Seminary, Latrobe, PA in 2001. He was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Pittsburgh in 2001 at the age of 32.
Marianne was born and raised in the city of Pittsburgh. She graduated from Bishop High School in 1970 and went on to attend CCAC and the University of Pittsburgh. She recently retired from Duquesne University having worked there for 18 years as a grant coordinator in the Office of Research. Marianne resides with her husband Tom in the Lincoln Place area of Pittsburgh and enjoys spending time with my family and five grandchildren.
Hi, my name is Tammy Brooks. I currently live in New Homestead with my husband and 2 children. I graduated from Hampton High School in 1987 and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1990. I currently work for UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in the Neurosurgery Department. I am also a committee woman for the 31st Ward of the City of Pgh. I have been a friend of the family for 17 years.
Bob has been a friend of the O’Connor family for over 45 years. He graduated from Central Catholic High School and the University of Pittsburgh. Bob worked as a chemist for 35 years at Duquesne Light Company and First energy, he is presently the Vice Chair of Board of Directors of Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority.
Wayne Kelly, born and raised in West Homestead and currently lives in Pittsburgh, was a friend of Bob’s for 30 years and an original member of the Delta Team during Bob’s political career. He graduated from Bishop High School in 1974 and went on to get a Bachelors degree in Deaf Education from the University of Arkansas in 1979. Wayne is dual certified in Deaf Ed and Secondary Mathematics Education and since 1981 been a teacher at the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf in Edgewood.
John R. Morgan
John R. Morgan received his B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Accounting from Robert Morris University. He holds the Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Global Management Accountant certifications and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. John has spent most of his professional life in Governmental and Project Accounting, including stints with the City of Pittsburgh Controller’s Office, Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority, and Pittsburgh Public Schools. Board and Officer positions currently held are with the University of Pittsburgh Scottish Nationality Room, The St. Andrew’s Society of Pittsburgh, and the Pittsburgh Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution. He currently resides in the Highland Park neighborhood of Pittsburgh with his wife Sue and two Bengal cats, Tristan and Isolde.
